After gathering and collecting antiques and collectibles for over 40 years Carol decided we should start a antique store.
We discovered a suitable building in Wabasha, MN. We leased the building and started Proud's Antiques in 2009.
In 2011 the building was sold. We gave up our lease and purchased two attached historical buildings on West Main Street.
These buildings were 1870's - 1880's vintage. The buildings required extensive repair, but we felt that being over 130 years old
some repair could be expected.
Carol and Tom Proud currently operate Proud's Bridgeside Antiques. Most of the buildings have been restored
to their original form, but the project is still a work in progress.
We feature a large inventory of furniture, glassware, toys, pictures, music items and collectibles and much more, all displayed with taste and care throughout the over 6,000 square feet of shopping space.
